I have been working with Rachel for 2 months on self esteem, confidence, along with being able to recognize, locate, and release trauma in my body. In those 2 months I have noticed HUGE improvements in how I am feeling. Before working with Rachel I struggled with depression and low self esteem which was treated unsuccessfully with years of therapy and multiple medications. Now after working with Rachel not only am I on less medication but I have stopped needing therapy. In addition, I came to Rachel with an extensive trauma history which was treated with EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) but I still had trauma stress stuck in my muscles and Rachel taught me how to locate tension along with breathing techniques to help release the trauma. Rachel is great to work with as she is very understanding and compassionate. As someone who as worked with multiple counselors and life coaches over the years Rachel is among the best I have worked with. I would HIGHLY recommend Rachel to anyone like me who deals with low self esteem and confidence. -Ellen
Rachel is nothing short of amazing. She shares the same consistent and motivating lessons in all aspects of her work - yoga, weekly love notes, and life coaching. I was first introduced to Rachel through yoga - her classes have brought me back to the mat in a consistent manner and I have seen amazing growth in strength, breathing and focus. A few months after beginning classes with Rachel I began to receive her love letters where she shares the same wonderful teachings echoed during her yoga classes. Struggling with my own ongoing depression, I had reached a standstill with my then therapist, medication and traditional therapeutic methods. Rachel was offering something wonderful - an opportunity to build my own tool kit. Over the past 3+ months I have transformed from an individual who could barely say a kind thing about myself, to someone who can say I love you in the mirror in the morning. I now have an amazing set of resources at my disposal that enable me to manage my emotions, set personal boundaries and more. Add to that the fact that I am able to learn these skills from a truly amazing woman. I was skeptical when I signed up for the six months, but forever grateful that I did. I started my journey with Rachel a little over 6 months ago. Part of what I wanted to do with relieve some of my anxiety and stress. To explain my situation I met the man of my dreams and then I became “instamom" to his beautiful daughter. I was not sure what it was like to be a mom or stepmom because I lost my mother at any early age from depression. I knew I did not want to repeat the cycle, I knew I did not want to be depressed, overwhelmed, have panic attacks and take all of this out on my family like she had done. I soon realized I was repeating the cycle and something had to change. I had started doing yoga and I found at the end of class in savasana I would often cry so I knew that Yoga was doing something for me. I would come home relieved and recharged but it was not quite enough. I then signed up for Rachel’s classes and immediately I knew I found my teacher. I felt some sort of connection with her, she would say things in class all the time that resonated with me. She was so authentic and true to herself and did not give a fuck what people thought. I knew I wanted to learn that, she often talked about her coaching in class. I would leave wanting to know more. One morning things had been exceptionally hard with my step-parent role, my spouse and his ex…this was a situation that happens often. We have an very tense relationship with the ex and she actually triggers memories of my mother. That is a whole other story that I would need a fews days to get into. Anyway I left Rachel’s class in tears, I drove out of the parking lot and then turned right around parked and walked back in. She welcomed me with open arms, listens to me and that’s when it all started. What I have found over the past 6 months is that she has given me tools to cope with things that I am dealing with. The positive thoughts daily and mediation alone has changed my life. My spouse told me that he has seen such a transformative change in me. I am calmer, more positive and I am able to be the step-mom or mom I would have wanted to have. The journey is not over, it has just begun and I am so excited for my future self. There is no magic bullet and it takes time, dedication, and repetition, but with consistent practice, determination, and persistence I have completely grown and taken my business to a level I never thought was possible. You have a special way of connecting with people and able to quickly get to the root of what was holding me back. By changing my thoughts, I have been able to break through the chains that held me hostage. Your easy to understand exercises were easy to implement into my daily life and once I consistently did as you instructed, I began to notice paramount change in my life and business. What I particularly like about working with you is that you do not take a one size fits all approach. You truly listened to me and tailored our sessions and exercises to what I needed to continue growing as a person, father, husband, and entrepreneur. I wasn’t even sure that I needed coaching when I initially inquired. I knew I needed something to help my yoga business go to the next level. But, if I’m being honest, I didn’t even really know what coaching was. I knew if I was going to do this, I needed to be all in, have an open mind and a willingness to give it a try.
There was a moment when I wondered, “will this work?!” And about a month in I found myself thinking, “holy crap...this IS working!” Seeing the shift in my perspective is worth its weight in gold! Seeing the shift in my studio has allowed me so many more opportunities than I ever thought possible.
I look forward to coaching calls to help keep me accountable, encourage growth in areas that need a bit more tending and help open my eyes to even more possibilities.
Rachel has been an amazing support system for myself and my yoga business. I’m working on things (like a yoga teacher mentorship program - it’s coming out in January!) that I never thought I’d need or want to have. Coaching with Rachel was an amazing experience for me.
